Kinja'd!!!

I love this car. It's absurdly-short wheelbase and huge wheels makes it look amazing.

Eventually I'll build out a 222d replica. I'll need to find out what I need to do build a 4TGTE correctly.

Its 600+ hp turbo 4 and AWD probably doesnt hurt either.

Honestly a V6 would not go out of place in one, it has the room for one as well.

Yeah, you can fit all kinds of crazy into an MR2. Personally, I'd probably stay away from V6 s because of the weight, but that being said, I've seen the video of the guy who modified two Honda CBX I6s to be a tiny air cooled V12. I'd definitely be down for that.

2GR-FE weighs as much as a 3S-GTE, aluminum block and not iron.

Yeah, I wouldn't want a 3S for the same reason. Too much weight.

Yeah, I'd give one a chance for sure. I just wouldn't do that swap before driving one due to the weight issue. It might not be as big of a deal in most AW11s, but mine is completely stripped and it's pretty sensitive to weight distribution. If there isn't enough of it over the front, it understeers pretty badly. This could also be because there's so much more weight to remove from the front than the back, but either way, I'm hesitant about adding another 100 lbs to the back of it even if it does double the available power. Handling is my first priority.
